Trust
Most of the social transaction that we have with other people involves 'Trust'. If you don't know how to drive a car and you're appointing someone to drive for you involves a lot of trusts. You trust them with your life. Trust is how the most business operates. Most aggregator businesses came into existence because the existing systems lack trust. For eg: Ola/Uber came into existence because you trust them with the charges they make on the app. Solving trust means you're solving for efficiency. Ever wondered what makes the landowners ask for security deposits? The security deposits serve no purpose. But it's collected because the landowners can't trust you. Humans have to build social capital to become better at their life. The first step is to build trust among your peers. For eg: You'd become a better coworker if people know you'd get the job done within time irrespective of hurdles. It increases your social capital. If more follow-up is required for you to complete the work, it means people can't trust you and lesser the social capital you gain. If there's less trust, more amount of work/follow-up is required. But how do you make yourself more trustable among your peers? The only way to start is by giving out trust. Trust is a bidirectional efficient system. Just remember humans are reciprocating animals. That's why if you're a gangster, it'd be hard to trust anyone around you. We can stay and remain honest if we know the others will do the same.
